RAIA: Hosts Sporting Club of Davorlim defeated Carmona Sports Club 4-0 to enter the semi-finals of 15th Davorlim Cup organised by Sporting Club of Davorlim at Davorlim Panchayat ground, on Sunday.
In an exciting quarter-final, Carmona SC started the match with fast pace and tried to hit the target. They came close in scoring the goal but Stanford Fernandes’ strike directly went into the hands of SC Davorlim goalkeeper Francisco Colaco in 7th minute of play.
On other hand, SC Davorlim’s Royson send a through pass to Milton Colaco, whose powerful shoot crush into the net of Carmona SC in the 25th minute of the play to give them a lead. Before half-time, Ajay Raj of SC Davorlim made it 2-0 with a powerful header.
In second session, Carmona SC had many scoring opportunities but they couldn’t convert it into goals. It was SC Davorlim’s day and both Milton and Ajay completed their brace in 45th and 52nd minute respectively to make the issue safe for SC Davorlim.
Martin Rocha presented the man-of-the-match to Milton Colaco of Sporting Club Davorlim.
