RAIA: Hosts Sporting Club, Virabhat, outplayed St Anthony Boys 4-1 to enter into the quarter-finals of 9-a-side football tournament organised by Sporting Club, Virabhat, at St Alex Church ground, Curtorim, on Sunday.
St Anthony Boys opened the scoring through Selvino Vaz with a neat placement. At half time, St Anthony Boys were leading 1-0.
In the second half, hosts Sporting Club regroup quickly and took control of the game and fired four goals. A hat-trick by Ryce Fernandes and Lourdes Fernandes scored the other goal. Ryce Fernandes was awarded the man-of-the-match by Criso Castanha.
