PANJIM: International Master Audi Ameya won the VI Meduarodini Rejting Sahovski Tunir Open 2021, Bozidar Kicovic - Kica Championship and the Third Saturday Mix 225 Open A –Novisad.
In the Kica Championship, Ameya beat GM Drasic Sinisa of Serbia and GM Zakhartsov Vladimir of Russia, CM Stanojevic Llija, Krstic Andrija Marko of Serbia & Muratovic Efim from Bosnia to tally 6 points out of possible 7 rounds. He put up a rating performance of 2574.
In the Third Saturday Mix 225 Open A -Novisad which concluded on Sunday, Ameya began as the 11th seed of the tournament. He beat the World Class Chess Commentator and Former US Chess Champion GM Yermolinsky Alex, IM Maksimovic Branimir of Serbia, IM Nitin S, WFM Srishti Pandey and Akshit Kumar J of India, FM Burco Cagatay of Turkey and drew with GM Basso Pier Luigi of Italy and GM Zakhartsov Vladmir of Russia. He had 6 wins and 2 draws to tally 7 points out of possible 9 rounds and put up a rating performance of 2576.
