PANJIM: Kalika XI won the second edition of the Daivadnya Premier League, organised by United Daivadnya at Quitala ground, Aldona, recently.
They defeated Nagvenkar Smeshers in the final by 4 wickets. Batting first Nagvenkar Smeshers were bowled out for 62 runs in 7. 4 overs. In reply, Kalika XI chased down the total in 7.3 overs. Laxmikant Shirodkar scored 32 runs. Chief guest Dr Purushottam P. Pednekar (Director of Economic Development Corporation) gave away the prizes in the presence of guest of honour Aman Lotlikar and other dignitaries. Following were the awards: Man of the match: Laxmikant Shirodkar (Kalika XI); Best batsman: Ashish Hirloskar (Nagvekar Smashers) Best bowler: Sanjay Nagvekar (Kalika I ), Best fielder: Saiesh Haldankar (Margao), Emerging U19 player : Mithil Lotlikar (Margao), Man of the Series: Amrut Verlekar (Nagvekar Smashers).
