Tapaswi was named man-of-the-final and also the player of the tournament. He struck four boundaries and two sixes, and combined nicely with Samar, who played a steady knock including two boundaries and a sixer, for a 62-run partnership for the fourth wicket to set up the comprehensive triumph. Geno captain Darshan Misal picked up 3/19, while Mohit Redkar had figures of 2/30.

Earlier, Desserts N’More Geno SC were restricted to 122/7 after being put to bat as MCC captain Felix Alemao (2/12) and Tapaswi (3/24) stifled their rivals, making runs hard to come by. Rahul Mehta and Yash Kasvankar took one wicket each.

Anand Tendulkar was the lone batter to resist the MCC bowlers with a brave inning of 60 runs off 43 balls. The elegant left-hander struck four boundaries and three sixes during the knock that enabled an important partnership of 59 runs for the fourth wicket along with Pukhraj Mann (25) to bring some sort of a respectability to the total. Dev Lakra (15) was the other batter to get into double figures.

Felix Alemao (13 wickets) walked away with the Best Bowler prize, while Pukhraj Mann (186 runs) was named the Best Batter.
