Margao Veterans win T-20 cricket
PANJIM: Margao Veterans defeated Bardez Veterans by seven runs to emerge champions at the Ramchandra G Pankar memorial all Goa T-20 veterans cricket tournament, organised by Dost Cricket Club of Khorlim–Mapusa, recently.

PANJIM: Margao Veterans defeated Bardez Veterans by seven runs to emerge champions at the Ramchandra G Pankar memorial all Goa T-20 veterans cricket tournament, organised by Dost Cricket Club of Khorlim–Mapusa, recently.
At Porvorim Cricket Academy ground, electing to bat first, Margao Veterans scored 143 for 6 runs in allotted 20 overs.
Sandeep Dalal scored unbeaten 39 runs.
In reply, Bardez Veterans were restricted by Margao Veterans bowlers with accurate bowling and good fielding for 136 in the allotted 20 overs.
Paresh Miskin top scored with 45 runs.
The winners Margao Veterans were richer by Rs 20,000 and a trophy while Bardez Veterans had to be content with Rs 10,000 and a trophy.
Urban Development Minister Adv Francis D’souza was the chief guest and gave away the prizes in the presence of Revenue Minister Rohan Khaunte, GCA Hon Secretary Desh Kinlekar, Ramesh Pankar and Tulshidas Shetye.
