PANJIM: Morjim Veterans scored a comfortable 4-2 win over Davorlim Veterans in the 1st Rosary Cup, organised by Rosary Parish Veterans Davorlim, at Davorlim ground, on Sunday.
Davorlim were the first side to take the lead through Arthur Mascarenhas. However, Morjim were quick to respond and netted the equalising goal through Clifford Fernandes. Once on level terms, Morjim were in total control of the game and scored two more goals through Alexander Fernandes, who netted a brace.
Davorlim managed to reduce the deficit as Raymond D'Souza scored their second. In the dying minutes of the game, Nicholau Fernandes scored the fourth goal for Morjim.
On Saturday, Carmona Veterans defeated Vasco Veterans by 3-0.
