Navelim Sporting book semi-finals berth
SARZORA: Navelim Sporting defeated Tilamol United by a solitary goal to move into the semi-final of the All-Goa Our Lady of Assumpta Trophy inter-village football tournament organised by Sarzora Sports Club, at Sarzora ground,on Wednesday.
Tilmol should have netted in the third minute through Antonio Carvalho but the latter’s move was tackled by the Navelim defender.
Navelim Sporting scored the match-winner through Prestly Gomes in the 55th minute.
Tilamol tried their level best to score but their strikers lacked sharpness.
Navelim again should have scored one more through but missed the target by a whisker in the 60th minute.
