MARGAO: Our Lady of Gloria Spors club scored a narrow 2-1 win over Guirdolim Club in the GFA Second Division League at Don Bosco ground, Fatorda, on Tuesday.
Despite playing attacking football neither side were able to break the deadlock in the first half. However, in the second half, Our Lady of Gloria SC broke the deadlock in the 64th minute through Joel Furtado.
Guirdolim fought back and levelled terms through Aliston D'Souza.
Our Lady of Gloria SC scored the match-winner in the 81st minute through Danny Fernandes.
At Rosary ground, Navelim, Carmel Sports Club scored a fluent 3-0 win over Parish Youth Nuvem. Jilto Tavares put Carmel SC ahead in the 22nd minute. They led 1-0 at the break. Crossing over, Sezwin Fernandes and Lerinsius Carvalho scored two more goals to make it 3-0.
