PANJIM: The 9th Goa Tourism Nuron Rotary Rain Run, an internationally endorsed event, will be held on July 30.
The run, which is a 'certified measured course' by World Athletics, the global sports governing body, in co-operation with the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races, will be contested across 2km, 5km,10 km and 21 km.
Over 1,000 participants have registered so far even as registrations close on July 25. The run will start at 5.30 am for the 21.1 km run from Bambolim Stadium. It will proceed to Miramar Circle, where they will turn around and head back towards the stadium.
"The run is supported by the Indian Army and Navy and is aimed at promoting the importance of physical fitness, wellness and overall well-being among individuals, leading to a healthy lifestyle, stated Avinash Singh Parmar, chairman, Rotary Rain Run.
