With the championship trophy at stake for the winners, put in to bat first in slightly overcast conditions, MLT PDK Kings started on a brisk note before Siddesh Sinai Amonkar (7) was removed by Amith Kamat with the score reading 21 in the third over. A couple of tragic run outs sealed the fate of Viraj Puranik (17) and Sarin Kane (12).

With the pitch not conducive to strokeplay, MLT PDK Kings did the ultimate blunder of going for their shots as they lost four of their middle order batters for single digits with Samar Dubhashi picking three of those wickets as the MLT PDK Kings slipped to 60-7 in 12.1 overs.

The skipper Gaurav Gaitonde (37 not out, 27 balls, 3x4s, 1x6s) along with the south paw Animesh Prabhugaonkar (31, 21 balls, 2x4s, 2x6s) stitched a 61 run partnership in 40 balls to get the Kings to some sort of a respectable total of 132-8 in 20 overs. Samar Dubhashi was the destroyer in chief for the Panjim Panjim Powerplay team picking 3-17 and was supported by Amith Kamat 2-17 and Kaushal Hattangadi 1-28.

touches as the Panjim Powerplay team emerged victorious with seven wickets and 6.3 overs to spare, to clinch the championships.
