In the first half, Panjim Veterans were leading 3-0.

Panjim broke the deadlock in the 13th minute with striker Ramesh’s power-packed shot after Seby D’Costa assisted. They soon doubled the lead in the 15th minute through Digambar Gomes’ half volley placement into the rival nylon.

Nagao in the 18th minute made a move to score but Johnson Abranches’ powerless shot was easily collected by Panjim goalkeeper.

Panjim before the end of half time increased their tally when Seby D’Costa supplied a through ball to Victor D’Mello, who made no mistake to score.

Post resumption, Panjim dominated and in the 39th minute again Ramesh scored to complete his brace by tapping the ball off a connect from Victor D’Mello.

With Nagao forwards and defence failing to put up an attacking and defensive game, Panjim took advantage of the situation to score their fourth goal in the 41st minute. Ramesh from a three-metre distance fired a shot which straight away settled into Nagao goal, thus completing his hat-trick.

Nagao reduced their margin in the 43rd minute through Peter Fernandes.

Panjim scored their sixth goal in the 45th minute when Victor D’Mello, after receiving a pass the Ramesh, shot directly into the rival net.
