POVASAO-CURTORIM: Pax of Nagoa defeated Don Bosco Fatorda 10-9 via the tie-breaker to move into the quarter-finals of the 31st Curtorim Panchayat Cup, organised by Curtorim Gymkhana, at DSYA ground, on Wednesday.

Fatorda got the first chance when Rahul Fernandes after dribbling past a couple of Nagoa defenders, shot from close range which went wide in the fourth minute.  Soon after that Fatorda’s Cliff Barreto’s header hit the Pax cross bar and went out of play in the 21st minute. 

In second half, Nagoa’s Savio missed an easy sitter after a fine cross by Christo de Melo.

In tie-breaker, Pax of Nagoa proved to be better shooters. 

Nagoa’s Cristo de Melo of Pax of Nagoa was awarded the man-of-the-match by Joeliz Luis (executive member Curtorim Gymkhana) in the presence of Savio Fernandes (footballer of Curtorim).
