SERAULIM: Perpetual Convent HS, Navelim made easy work of Fatima Convent HS, Margao defeating them by a margin of 4-1 in the girls category of the Sir Jawaharlal Da Costa Memorial inter- school U-16 5-a-side football tournament, organised by United Sports Club of Seraulim in collaboration with The Base Goa and played at The Base Goa, Seraulim. 

Perpetual Convent scored through Amanda in the third minute from a penalty kick. 

It was in the eighth minute that Prissy direct shot crushed into the net.

 At half time, Perpetual led 2-0. 

After crossing, over Clea inflated the score to make it 3 -0 in the 19th minute when she dribbled past the defenders and shot home.

 She once again scored the last and final goal in the 24th minute to nail Fatima Convent 4-0.  

Zunet was the lone scorer for Fatima Convent who socred off a direct kick at the 26th minute. 

The chief guest for the final was Capt Venzy Viegas MLA Benaulim Constituency, Fr. Benjamin Sacramafilia Parish Priest was the Guest of honour besides special Invitees Capt. Nitin Dhond and Vernon Pinto gave away the prizes to the winners and runners-up.

In the girls category, Zuriel Tavares from Fatima Convent won the best player award, Amanda Dias from Perpetual Succor won the highest scorer and Scarlett Fernandes was awarded the best goalkeeper prize.
