PANJIM: The Government College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Quepem, defeated Shree Mallikarjun College of Arts and Commerce, Cancona, by 32 runs in the Inter Collegiate Cricket Men Championship organised by Goa University at its ground, Taleigao Plateau, on Friday.

The toss won by the Government College of Arts, Science and Commerce won the toss and elected to bat.

In the first innings, the Government College of Arts, Science and Commerce scored 160/4 in 20 overs. Rohit Kalmankar 66 (40), Chandradeep Naik 26 (24) not out. Prathamesh Chari 2/28

In the second innings, Shree Mallikarjun College of Arts and Commerce managed to score 128/8 in 20 overs. Kaushal Naik 49 (22), Kishan Gosavi 16 (31) Gopal Naik 3/16, Prajyot Desai 2/31

Highest scorer was Rohit Kalmankar 66 (40) and Highest wicket taker was Gopal Naik 3/16, both of Government College of Arts, Science and Commerce.

In the second match of the day, MES Vasant Joshi College, Zuarinagar, defeated PES’s Shri Ravi S Naik College of Arts and Science by 3 wickets.

MES Vasant Joshi College won the toss and elected to bowl first.

In the first Innings, PES’s Shri Ravi S Naik College of Arts and Science scored 151 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs. Tuvish Gaonkar 34 (19) not out, Bhavan Balekar 30 (25). Soaib Ansari 3/08, Ayush Sharma 2/34

In the second innings, MES Vasant Joshi College took 152/7 in 20 overs. Lava Lamani 46 (23), Mohammed Hanif 20 (17), Saiesh Naik 3/25, Sagar Gaude 2/36.

Highest scorer was Lava Lamani 46(23), while highest wicket taker was Soaib Ansari 3/08 and Ayush Sharma 2/34, both of MES Vasant Joshi College.
