BAIDA CHINCHINIM: Quepem Veterans defeated Viva North Veterans 7-5 via the tie-breaker to move in the quarter-finals of 1st Our Lady of Fatima Sports Club Veterans Cup, organised by Our Lady of Fatima Sports Club, Baida- Chinchinim at Our Lady of Hope Church ground, Chinchinim on Wednesday.
In the first half, Ivan Coutinho for Quepem in the 15th minute.
In the second half, Sanjay Ghadi equalised for Viva North Veterans in the 40th minute. Sanjay Ghadi made it 2-1 for Viva North Veterans in the 42nd minute. Raymond D'Souza made it 2-2 draw through a spot kick in the 50th minute.
In the tie-breaker, Babazinho Dias, Jose Rebello, Raymond D'Souza, Anil Fernandes and Narayan Mistry scored for Quepem Veterans while Sanjay Ghadi, Pratap Sawant, Ajit Aroska scored for Viva North Veterans.
The man-of-the-match was awarded to Sanjay Ghadi of Viva North Veterans.
