RAIA: Red Bull, Telaulim, defeated St Cross Boys of Davorlim 4-3 via tie-breaker to emerge champions of the Navelim Uprising Trophy inter-ward football tournament organised by Uprising Boys of Telaulim at the government school ground, Telaulim, Navelim, on Sunday.
Both the teams were tied goalless in the normal time. In the ensuing tie-breaker, Red Bull proved to be the better shooters. The winners and runners-up were awarded Rs 20,000 and Rs 15,000 with trophies respectively.
Chaplin of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Chapel Fr Valentine Alvarej was the chief guest and handed over the prizes in the presence of Laxmikant Kattimani, Climax Lawrence, Micky Rebello, Anthony Pereira, George Barreto, Costa Paul Rodrigues and Sukhdeo Arwade.
