PANJIM: Gera Developments unveiled the Bhaichung Bhutia Football Schools with much fanfare at Gera’s River of Joy, Goa.
The project is Goa's first ChildCentric Homes at the Kadamba Plateau. The football academy is part of Gera’s ChildCentric Homes offerings and has been introduced knowing the Goans love for football.
The event was graced by the former captain of Indian football team, Bhaichung Bhutia, the torchbearer of Indian football in the international arena. Bhutia in the presence of customers of Gera’s River of Joy inaugurated the futsal court, where he flagged off a playoff between the children on the court.
While expressing delight, Bhaichung Bhutia said, “ChildCentric Homes is an innovative concept, it gives children the freedom to choose their passion. It gives me immense joy to launch Goa’s first Bhaichung Bhutia Football Schools at Gera’s River of Joy. This will bring us closer to football lovers and young budding talent in Goa and help children soar. It’s indeed my privilege to be associated with Gera Developments’ legacy and stalwarts like Mahesh Bhupathi, Shankar Mahadevan, Anil Kumble, Michael Phelps and Shiamak Davar in this award winning concept.”
