PANJIM: A splendid hat-trick by Rohan Rodrigues enabled Velsao Sports and Cultural Club to rout Guardian Angel Sports Club 3-0 in a Taca Goa First Division Under-20 football league match at Duler Stadium, Mapusa on Sunday. They led 1-0 at the interval.
It took 33 minutes for Velsao to open the account through Rohan after the team dominated the proceedings.
After the break Velsao kept up the offensive even as Guardian Angel tried to put up a fightback and consolidated the lead two minutes after the resumption with Rohan scoring his and his team's second goal.
Goaded with success Velsao now enjoyed the upper hand and Rohan completed his hat-trick in the 89th minute for a deserving victory for Velsao.
