RAIA: SC Davorlim secured a hard-fought victory over CAC Cansaulim, 6-5, via the tie-breaker in a nail-biting penalty shootout, clinching a spot in the quarterfinals of the 26th Holy Cross inter-village football tournament.

SC Davorlim surged ahead in the 19th minute, courtesy of a clinical finish by Jordon Miranda, leaving the CAC Cansaulim goalkeeper with no chance.

Despite numerous chances, SC Davorlim failed to capitalise in the second half, while CAC Cansaulim relentlessly pressed for an equaliser. In the dying moments, their persistence paid off as Elvino Fernandes found the back of the net with a sublime strike, levelling the score at 1-1 at full time.

The tension escalated as the match went into a penalty shootout. SC Davorlim's William, Aeren, Milton, Vellroy and Adman held their nerve, converting their spot-kicks flawlessly. However, CAC Cansaulim fought valiantly, with Chadwick, Asher, Melwyn, and Reagon finding the target. Ultimately, it was SC Davorlim who emerged victorious.
