RAIA: SCC Loutolim edged past Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda, 9-8 via tie-breaker to move into the quarter-finals of the Sao Jose Areal Panchayat Cup organised by Sao Jose de Areal SC, at Padribhat ground, Sao Jose de Areal, on Wednesday.
SCC Loutolim opened the scoreline through Ignatius D’Silva in the 14th minute. Soon, Don Bosco Oratory equalised through Hanslum Furtado in the 20th minute. At the end of regulation time, both the teams settled to a 1-1 draw.
In the resultant tie-breaker, SCC Loutolim proved to be better shooters. Ignatius of SCC Loutolim was declared man-of-the-match and the award was presented by Sao Jose de Areal’s former player Alex Valadares.
