MAPUSA: Chapora Yuvak Sangh SC humbled Goa Velha SC 13-0 in the GFA’s Division I League match played at Duler Stadium, here, on Friday.
After Friday’s big scoring win, Chapora Yuvak Sangh still have a chance to qualify from Group B cluster after Albert Developers SC already secured their place from this group.
On Saturday, St Anthony’s SC, Marna, and Candolim SC will play their last league matches. If both teams lose to their opponents in Saturday’s encounter, then Chapora Yuvak Sangh with 15 points will qualify having better goal average.
Sachidanand Satelkar did most of the damage scoring seven goals, with Cyprian Rodrigues netting a hat-trick. Joaquim Carvalho, Ronaldo Pereira and Nehal Parsekar netted a goal each.
In the 78th minute, Goa Velha SC colts received a jolt with the sending off Franky Oliveiro by Referee Ritesh Parsekar.
In the next match played at Poriat ground, Calangute, St Savio’s SC, Calangute, registered a 3-0 win over CDJ Ribandar in their concluding match. All the goals came in the first session of play.
