CANSAULIM/ VELSAO: Salgaocar Football Club registered a fluent 5-0 win over Rossman Cruz Nagoa-Verna in the Goa Football Association U-14 League match, at Cansaulim ground, on Sunday.

The young Green Brigade scored three goals in the first session as they opened their scoring in the 12th minute when Salvador Gama played a through ball to Flann Crasto, who was lurking upfront and the striker made no mistake in finishing past the rival keeper.

Within five minutes, Salgaocar FC doubled the tally when Prasad Shinde's goal-bound shot deflected off the rival keeper off a corner kick.

In the 24th minute, Rui Noronha scored the team's third goal converting from the penalty spot after Rossman Cruz defender handled the ball in the box.

Rossman Cruz were totally outplayed by a strong Salgaocar side who didn't allow any room for the Verna side to settle in the game.

In the second half, Rossman conceded their fourth of the evening, when Salgaocar's Salvador Gama played a defence splitting pass to Micheal Dias, who covered some ground before placing the ball in the far corner for the team's fourth goal.

Rui Noronha, who was outstanding for his side finally completed his brace late in the game with a 25-yard strike to give Salgaocar full points.

In the second game, CAC Cansaulim eased past Benfica Youth Club 2-0.

There was no score in the first session. In the second half Judah Sanches and Om H scored a goal each for the winning side.

Meanwhile at Velsao ground, after a barren first half, Betalbatim Sporting Club score two late goals through Wenceslaus Antao and Rohan Yadav which  helped the team to register a 2-0 win over A A de Majorda.
