PANJIM: Sandhya Melasheemi (Goa) and Sangeetha Mari (Karnataka) emerged champions in the Women's Doubles 35+ category while Ashutosh Pednekar (Goa) and Naveed Divecha (Maha) won the gold in the Mixed Doubles 50+ category at the 45th Indian Masters Veterans Badminton Nationals at Navelim, today.
Other prominent gold medal winners were Vidyadhar JBS (AP) and Sanave Thomas in Men's Doubles 40+, Sanave Thomas (Ker) and Nupura Gadgil (Mah) in mixed doubles 40+, Aneesh KA (Ker) and Vijay Lancy in Men's Doubles 45+, Sreedevi A. Gadhil (Kar) and Ruchita Sharma (MP) in Women's Doubles 50+, Sameer Abbasi and Pooja Mehta Guj) in Mixed Doubles 45+.
The winners were awarded medals and trophies by Sports Minister, Govind Gaude.
