DICARPALE: Sao Jose de Areal shot out Rossman Cruz, Nagoa-Verna, 8-7 via the tie-breaker to enter the final of the Fatima trophy inter-village football tournament, organised by Dicarpale SC, at Dicarpale ground on Sunday.
Ajay Satarkar of Rossman should have netted in the sixth minute but the latter's move was thwarted by Areal's John Gomendes. Areal too missed chances to score through Vellinton Faleiro and Platini Andrade in the ninth and 12th minutes respectively.
Both halves ended goalless.
In the tie-breaker, Sao Jose de Areal netted through Bersal Viegas, Franky Valadares, Milton Gomendes, Stalen Oliveira, Myron Silva, Dezi Oliveira, John Gomendes and Larry Mascarenhas while for Rossman Cruz Nagoa Verna
Andrus John, Christo De Mello, Noel Da Silva, Fulganco Cardozo, Imam sab Gulab,Romario D’Costa and Sheldon Pereira found the net for Rossman Cruz.
Sao Jose de Areal will now meet Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda in the final on October 16.
