Sarzora SC clinch Holy Cross title

VODLEMOL KAKODA: Sarzora Sports Club defeated Curtorim Gymkhana 6-5 via tie-breaker to Holy Cross inter-village football tournament, held at Vodlemoll Kakoda ground. 

Sarzora SC took the lead in the first half when they were awarded a penalty kick. Ashton Fernandes scored from the spot-kick. 

In the second half, Curtorim Gymkhana equalised when Aleeward Mascarenhas made no mistake in a one-on-one situation. 

In the tie-breaker, Sarzora SC proved to be better shooters. 

Sarzora SC were awarded cash prize of Rs 1,11,111 and a trophy while Curtorim Gymkhana were awarded Rs. 77,777 and a trophy. 

Chairperson of Curchorem Cacora Municipal Council Vishwas Sawant was the chief guest and gave away the prizes in the presence of other dignitaries.

Best defender: Ryan Fernandes
