SAKHALI: Sesa Football Academy scored an astonishing 10 goals past Churchill Brothers SC in the ongoing GFA U-14 First Division League fixture held at Sankhali ground. 

Zimik and Sendy Mangte gelled well upfront for SFA in the opening minutes. CBSC boys managed to defend the continuous shots until the 10-minute mark. Zimik and Sendy played a sublime one-two inside the opposition penalty area to score the first goal for the home side through striker Sendy. 

It was in the 19th minute when CBSC players geared up to strike one back after winning a corner. SFA boys managed to defend the corner and doubled their lead through a counter-attack led by striker Sahil who dribbled it past the keeper to score after receiving a long through pass from his own half.

CBSC centre back made an error in the 24th minute after a back pass. SFA forward Sendy was lurking in the box took control of the ball and placed it into the back of the net. Sendy Mangte completed his hattrick in the 31st minute after he made a darting run forward to sprint past Churchill defense and score from close range.

SFA boys were 4-0 at the break.

CBSC goalkeeper tried to clear the ball from a goal kick in the second half but failed to make it past the first SFA forward Sahi who headed the ball forward immediately to assist Sendy upfront. Sendy scored his 4th goal from close range after keeper committed himself forward but couldn't defend.

Nishar joined the goal scorers list in the 52nd minute after he made a run forward on the left-wing and scored after cutting inside and shooting from his right foot.

Sendy assisted Sahil in the 55th minute after he unselfishly passed it towards the forward deep inside the opposition box. after dribbling past three CBSC players.

SFA boys defended two consecutive attacks from CBSC forwards Chris and Zidan and cleared the ball from right-back position in the 55th minute. The lob pass met Shahil on the right-wing who sprinted past a defender and returned the favour to Sendy who scored a sitter. 

Shahil scored the 8th goal for SFA in a similar manner after he received a ball on the right-wing from his own half but decided to go for the goal himself. He scored from a long-range as CBSC keeper Vansh registered 8th goal in his net for the evening. 

SFA boys did not sit back as they scored 9th and 10th goals through Sendy and Shahil in the 63rd and 64th minute respectively. It ended 10-0 in favor of SFA at the end of 70 minutes. 

In another match at Chowgule ground, Dempo SC beat FC Goa 2-0. Topon Mirj and Renzil D’Mello scored a goal each for the winners. 

At Artificial Turf ground, Fatorda, Salgaocar FC drubbed Sporting Clube de Goa 6-1.

Vismay More scored a treble while Velroy Colaco netted a brave for the winners. Nikhil Thapa was the other goal getter for Salgaocar. Mervin D’Souza pulled a goal back for the losing side.
