MARGAO: The Good Shepherd Organisation, Fatoda, honoured outstanding sports personalities in Margao on Monday for their commendable performances.
The recognised individuals include Antonio Vincent Fernandes, Sneha Lydia Fernandes, Nelson Paes Francisco Andrade, Seby Fernandes, Safah Shaik, Joyfon Goes, Fr Franky Fernandes, Fr Micheal Pereira, Fr Snyster Pereira, Veldroy Pais, Diya Digamber Sawal, Melrose Clement, David Rebello, Joel Dias, Santan Furtado and Joel Dias. A special award and felicitation were also presented to the Gujrati Samaj school for their dedicated care of special children.
The event was graced by chief guest Fr Joe Dias, Parish Priest of Grace Church Margao, Brigadier Umar Farhook, Deepali Sawal (MMC vice chairperson, Margao), Francisco Fernandes (match commissioner), Inacio Noronha, and other dignitaries, as well as members of the organisation.
