St Anthony SC move into quarters
VIRABHAT-CURTORIM: St Anthony SC, Assolda blanked Betalbatim SC 2-0 to move into the quarter-finals of the 31st Curtorim Panchayat Cup, organised by Curtorim Gymkhana, at DSYA ground, on Sunday.
Assolda scored the first goal of the match through Richard D’Sa’s placement shot in the sixth minute.
Soon after that Richard D’Sa scored his second goal in eighth minute to make it 2-0 for St Anthony in the first half.
In second half, Betalbatim tried their best to score through Dylan Rodrigues and Ronald Coelho in the 49th and 54th minutes but both failed to convert as Assolda defenders defended well till the last minute.
St Anthony SC, Assolda will now meet SC Davorlim in the quarter-finals on January 12.
