Team Work, Union Belgaum, Shrikant Kate CA and Just Cricket advance

MARGAO: Team Work, Mumbai; Union Belgaum, Shrikant Kate CA and Just Cricket, Bangalore, advance into next round of the Exposure U-13 All-India cricket tournament played at SAG ground, Fatorda and SAG ground, Agonda, on Monday.

Team Work beat MCC by six wickets and Just Cricket beat All Saints School by a huge margin of 163 runs.

At SAG ground, Fatorda, because of the Lok Sabha elections, the matches were truncated and Union Belgaum won on toss against Sportsweek CC, while Shikant Kate, CA, Pune, got a walk over from Sparkling Stars.

Sportsweek CC were19 for 4, when the match was stopped and Union Belgaum was awarded the match. In the afternoon match which was delayed, the Sparkling Stars team did not turn up and the Shrikant Kate CA from Pune got full point.

At Agonda ground, Teamwork Mumbai won the toss and opted to field and bundled out MCC for 77 runs in 15.5 overs. Only Svanik Lotikar (18) and Yash Naik (10) were into double figures. Yadnesh Bhoite (4 for 16) was the most successful bowler followed by two wickets each by Tambe and Shedge.

MCC fought back initially but 21 extras and with Tanish Tambe (29 not out) holding one end, it was easy for Team Work to win in 15 overs, scoring 78 for 4.

In the second match, the opener for Just Cricket Aayat Khan (96) stroked the ball all over Agonda ground and with help of 48 extras were 195 for 6 in 20 overs. Aditya and Arush took two wickets each.

The Hyderabad team could not bear the pressure and were all out for 32 in 9.4 overs. Shaurya Sagar and Dhruv Krishnan snapped three wickets each and won by 163 runs.

The Fatorda matches on Wednesday are shifted to Malkarne ground.
