PANJIM: Valanka Alemao who has been appointed as chairperson of the All India Football Federation Women’s Football Committee ,was felicitated by the CM Pramod Sawant at the inauguration of the Host City Logo on Wednesday. The CM acknowledged her achievement, saying: “She is the first woman to hold the post and the fact she is Goan is exemplary.” Sawant said her appointment would help drive the growth of women’s football in the country.
