AMBORA-CAMORLIM: Verna Veterans got the better of Varca Veterans 5-4 via the tie-breaker and moved into the semi-finals of the Excel Rovers, Loutolim, at Camorlim Camorlim panchayat ground, on Wednesday.
Verna’s Marcus Carvalho missed chances to score in the first half while Verna’s Raju Cardozo missed chances to score in the second half.
Both halves remained goalless.
In the tie-breaker, Verna Veterans netted through Agnelo, Marcus, Rosario, Francis and Melvin while Raju, Charles, Eddie and Herculeano found the net for Varca.
