ALDONA: Vernekar Warrior's won the Champions League 2020 organized by All Goa Daivadnya Brahmin Youth Association after defeating Shree Bodgeshwar by 9 wicket, at Quitla ground, Aldona, recently.
Shree Bodgeshwar batting first,scored 58 runs for loss of seven wickets in 7 overs.
The top scorer for Shree Bodgeshwar was Mohit Haldankar 26 runs with Vernekar Warriors bowlers Sid Vernekar picking up a wicket and Chandrakant Raikar claiming two wickets each.
In reply, Vernekar Warriors chased down the target in 6.2 overs. Sid Vernekar was the top scorer with 18 runs followed by Rakesh Shirodkar (10).
Amrut Verlekar picked a wicket for Shree Bodgeshwar.
A total of 16 teams participated in the tournament.
