YSC Colvale advance

TUEM : YSC Colvale got the better of Benny XI 4-3 to move into the next round on the opening match of FC Tuem Champion’s Trophy inter-village tournament, organised by FC Tuem in association with CAM Industries Pvt. Ltd, at Tuem DSYA ground on Sunday. 

YSC Colvale took the lead as early as the seventh minute of play through the boots of Roger Miranda.  Rio Fernandes made it 2-0 in favour of Colvale in the 19th minute. 

In the 21st minute, Roger Miranda scored his brace and made 3-0 for Colvale. 

When it looked like it would be a one-sided affair, Benny XI scored through Danish Ahmed in the 23rd minute and again in the 25th minute Uttkarsh Desai scored an own goal thus both the teams went into the lemon break with score 2-3 in favour of YSC Colvale. 

In the second half, Danish Ahmed scored his brace in the 61st minute to level the scores 3-3. 

Rio Fernandes scored with a neat placement in the 70th minute to make it 4-3 in favour of Colvale. 

Benny XI’s Prajyot Kerkar, Jewel Fernandes and Pavid Mhaldar were cautioned for reckless tackles. 

Earlier, MLA of Navelim and Chairman of KTC, Ulhas Tuyekar inaugurated the FC Tuem Champions Trophy tournament. President of FC Tuem Caitano Fernandes, Sarpanch of Tuem Sulaksha Naik and panch member Sweety Naik were also present.
