Young Sports Hockey Club emerge champions

PANJIM: Young Sports Hockey Club Junior Men thrashed Goa Hockey Promoters 8-1 in finals of the Goans Hockey State Hockey Junior Championship, played at the Synthetic Surface, Peddem Mapusa. 

Young Sports led 3-1 at half time. The scorers for Young Sports include Hari Sherpa (3), Sahil Chari (2), Faizan Khan, Innayat and Basant one each while Rohan Yadav scored for Goa Hockey Promoters.

In the women finals Young Sports Hockey Club trounced Innovations, Navelim 6-0.

The scorers include Nikita Naik (3), Veena Naik (2) and Pavina (1).  

Xavier Marquis, president Goans Hockey gave away the trophies.
