Copelabhat (Quepem) triumph

QUEPEM, AUG 16 Ward No.6 Copelabhat of Quepem Municipal Council won the 7- a-side Alex and Alex memorial football Quepem Municipal ward- wise tournament organiSed by Deumol Boys at Deumol ground. In the exciting final, Ward No.6 defeated Ward No.9 (Condy) via the tie-breaker 4-3 as during regular time the match ended in a goalless draw.

Ward No.6 Copelabhat of Quepem Municipal Council won the 7- a-side Alex and Alex memorial football Quepem Municipal ward- wise tournament organiSed by Deumol Boys at Deumol ground.
In the exciting final, Ward No.6 defeated Ward No.9 (Condy) via the tie-breaker 4-3 as during regular time the match ended in a goalless draw.
Copelabhat were awarded Rs.10,000 while Condy were awarded Rs.7,000.
Piedade Fernandes and Ivo Fernandes of Ward No.6 were awarded best goalkeeper and best defender prizes respectively. Lario Colaco of Ward No.9 was declared best player of final.
Chandrakant Kavlekar, MLA and IDC Chairman was the chief guest. QMC Chairperson, Lydia D’Costa and Subhash Fall Dessai were the guests of honour who awarded the prizes.
