Construction of a fully fledged club underway at Anjuna with permission only for a temporary wooden

Armed with permission only for a temporary wooden restaurant, a full-fledged permanent restaurant and club is being speedily constructed at Survey Nos 213/17 and 213/18 of Anjuna. A complaint filed by Anjuna Panch member Surendra Govekar stated that a construction of permanent nature was carried out in a ‘No Development Zone’ within 200 metres of HTL in CRZ III areas. The construction was being carried out without obtaining permission from the Panchayat. The Anjuna Panchayat on Friday carried out an inspection of the site and issued a stop work order.
