Large number of health care workers who are at highest risk not taken booster dose
Many health Care workers who face the highest risk of Covid have not taken the booster or precautionary dose. Just 17.3% of the target population of health care and frontline workers and those above 60years with comorbidities have taken the booster dose. The highest number of these are the health care workers many of whom have contacted Covid and cant take the booster dose. In the 15 to 17 years age group which comprises students 80% have been covered. The aim is to cover 100% the Directorate of Health stated.
