Ram Navami, a festival that celebrates the birth of Lord Rama, was celebrated across the state. This is the first festival that is celebrated post Gudi Padwa. Rama is said to be the seventh avatar of Lord Vishnu. The festival was celebrated with great enthusiasm followed by cultural and religious activities. People visited temples and participated in bhajan and performed pooja.
