Solar Electric Hybrid ferry not viable; Ro-Ro ferry service already proposed: Phal Desai

River navigation Minister Subhash Phal Desai said that we tried to operate solar electric hybrid ferry on passenger routes for 2-3 months, but it is not viable, as we didn’t get good response. He also stated that we don’t have specialised crew to run these hybrid ferries. While talking about getting ro-ro ferry in Goa Minister said that we cannot discard all the 33 operating ferries at once, however, eventually conventional ferries will be replaced by ro-ro ferry.
