The Fama of Menino Jesus was celebrated at Our Lady of Merces Church, Colva on Monday, which is the second Monday of October. The wax statue of the infant Jesus was brought down from the altar and venerated by the devotees. The fama is followed by a nine-day novena which culminates in the feast on 27th October. Like every year, thousands of devotees thronged to the fama to seek the blessings of Menino Jesus. People also offered wax images of different parts of the body that need healing.
