Story: Seema (Elaine) is a victim of rape, who fails to get justice. Despite the social stigma, Max (Maxie) agrees to marry her. But will he be true to her till the end?
Review:
When Seema, a victim of rape, accompanied by a well-wisher,goes to the police station seeking justice, police inspector Rane (Anil) puts her in an embarrassing situation with his questions. Though he assures to help her, aided by his constable (John D’Silva), he does his best to avoid the case with silly excuses.
Elsewhere, Roy, a motorcycle taxi rider is living a content life with his wife, Jane (Roshan), despite humble means. The couple is hoping to get a house via a government scheme. But when the list of those eligible for this scheme is finally out, Roy does not feature in it. While will Jane do to help her husband? Will she be successful?
In a parallel story, Sophia (Meena Goes) is a prostitute and PI Rane keeps an eye on the illegal activity, tapping into it whenever required.
Also, Max, a drug peddler, is involved with Seema and proposes to her.When Max is caught in drug trafficking, PI Rane takes advantage of the situation.
When Seema and Jane become victims of rape, what decision do they arrive at in order to punish the guilty?
Mini Mario’s tiatr ‘Kevpachim Bavlim Nhoi’ focuses on the victims of rape and the punishment the accused rightly deserve. Various situations have been dwelt upon wherein innocent girls and women easily become victims of rape. A solution is also provided to curb such menace in society.
The show exceeds three-hour duration and it could have been curtailed if the comedy acts were cut short. Some of the jokes introduced in the drama were outdated.
The opening chorus presented uniquely by Mini Mario, with the introduction and catwalk by all the artistes simultaneously deserves appreciation. But smoking on stage could have been avoided as it is considered crime at all public places.
Anil as the corrupt PI stands tall, while Elaine and Roshan win sympathy in their portrayal of rape victims. Meena Goes as the prostitute delivers well, though the costumes could have been more impressive. Maxie, Benzer and Peter are supporing in their characters.
In the comic acts, John D’Silva, Regina, Bladwin, Luis Bachan and Jack de Colva entertain, but creativity in jokes gets drowned.
In the category of songs, Mini Mario, Rons, Conception de Tuem and Luis Bachan entertain with their solos.Bladwin/Benzer,Roshan/Meena/Regina,Roshan/Peter,Roshan/Benzer/Peterprovide variety. But a solo by Olga and a choral by Bladwin, Valencio and team receive an encore.
