Be it favourable policy reforms, investment opportunities or increased adoption of innovative technologies, Indian SMEs are now emerging as one of the most important market players in recent times. Experts believe that they are likely to surpass traditional corporates in terms of growth and revenue generation within the next couple of years.
A two-day seminar is underway in Goa where a large number of delegates are participating in Gartner conference and exchanging views and trends which are happening all around the world. 
At the sidelines of this conference, the director, data center science center of Schneider, Victor Avelar said that, “India is a great market for us and India is emerging one of the most viable IT center in the world. We are researchers and we bring out white paper which simplifies information for our customers. We have solutions in data center industry. Less than 30 per cent of population in India do not have internet. It’s a huge opportunity for data center.”
Ashok Rao, director, strategy, alliance, sales operation of Schneider said that, “Out of the 200 factories of Schneider globally, 27 factories are in India. We are investing a lot in India and as of now we are also training about 1.5 lakh electricians from India on how to save energy.”
