Walk into the
mesmerising beauty of Titlie and you will
definitely feel all the butterflies fluttering in your stomach. The ambience of
the place is magical, and the view, breathtaking. It truly brings forth the
feelings of excitement and happiness as soon as you step into the place.
Beautifully decorated, Titlie has an indoor seating along with a
fully loaded bar and a tastefully done outdoor lounge area that overlooks the
Vagator beach; it’s an ideal choice for a sundowner. Titlie is Goa’s latest beachfront
culinary bar, where collaborative cuisine and craft cocktails take centre stage
to celebrate the priceless luxury of life’s moment-to-moment pleasures.
With some specially curated cocktails, Titlie establishes high
standards when it comes to drinks. From the classics like Bloody Mary
(Bloodiest Mary, as Titlie calls it) to some new creations using the local
spirits, the well stocked bar is a delight. Savour the in-house special –
Saligao Straight, which is created using Goan mahua with tamarind pulp, jaggery
syrup and pineapple concentrate shaken and served with ice! Its one of the best
cocktails you can get hold of.
Titlie serves food that you may have heard of but have certainly
not tasted earlier, because every regular dish at Titlie is served with a twist
that is unique to the place. Like stuffed kulchas could sound familiar, but
ever eaten a bacon and cheese kulcha? If not, go ahead and give it a try; the
ball of kulcha stuffed with bits of bacon and cheese will lead to a burst of
flavours in your mouth and simply melt away quickly, making turn to gobble up
the next one.
The Boti Kebabs are
another hit from Titlie’s kitchen and make for a perfect bar snack. The tender
and succulent chunks of lamb will leave you asking for more. Also give the fish
tikka a try; it’s delicious! The salads at Titlie on the other hand need to be
worked upon, the dressings have to be more interesting and also overall the
salads need to be a lot more juicier. We tried the Watermelon & Feta Salad
and also the Chicken Paprika Salad, taste wise good, but definitely very dry.
For mains, go for the classics like Prawn Curry & Rice or Chorizos with Rice or Poi and expect a bit of twists in taste or go for the international cuisines and expect a bigger twist. The Fried Red Snapper made for a perfect example. Try it for yourself and you would know what we mean. But we would still say that more than the mains, Titlie makes for a better choice when it comes to enjoying an evening of wonderful cocktails and bar food. But it calls for a visit for sure!
