In a shocking development in the Balasore self-immolation case, the father of the deceased has alleged that his daughter was murdered and did not die by suicide, as initially reported. The incident took place in Odisha’s Balasore district on Tuesday.
Calling for justice, the grieving father urged the state government to investigate the case as a murder and ensure that all those responsible are brought to justice.
“Everyone collectively forced my daughter to take this step. Isn’t that murder?” he said in a statement to ANI. “I believe it was a conspiracy. She used to speak out in college, and some people couldn’t tolerate it.”
He also raised serious concerns about her last visit to the college principal’s office, suggesting that the circumstances surrounding her death warrant deeper scrutiny.
