Tej Pratap Yadav, the elder son of RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, shared an emotional post on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday morning. In a few heartfelt lines, he expressed deep emotions for his parents—father Lalu Yadav and mother Rabri Devi. The post comes just days after Lalu expelled him from both the party and the family.
“Mummy-Papa… My world revolves around you,” Tej Pratap wrote, breaking his silence after the political fallout. Without directly naming anyone, he accused certain individuals of plotting against him and declared himself a victim of politics.
In his emotional post, he wrote:
“My dear Mummy and Papa… my entire world is wrapped around you two. You and your blessings are greater than even God for me. If you are there, I have everything. I only need your trust and love, nothing else.Papa, had it not been for you, there would be no party and no selfish opportunists playing politics alongside me. I just want you both to remain healthy and happy always.”
On May 25, Tej Pratap was expelled from the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) for six years. Lalu Yadav also disowned him publicly. He posted on X:
“Ignoring moral values in personal life weakens our collective struggle for social justice. The behavior, public conduct, and irresponsible actions of my eldest son are not in line with our family’s values and traditions. Therefore, under these circumstances, I am distancing him from both the party and the family. He will have no role in either moving forward. He is being expelled from the party for six years.”
Just a day earlier, on May 24, Tej Pratap’s official Facebook account shared a post featuring him with a woman, stating:
“We’ve known each other for 12 years, and we are in love. I’ve wanted to share this with you all for a long time but didn’t know how. Today, through this post, I’m expressing what’s in my heart. I hope you understand.”
The post caused a storm and was quickly deleted, but not before screenshots went viral on social media and gained widespread media attention.
Amid growing controversy, Tej Pratap claimed his social media account had been hacked. He said:
“My social media platforms were hacked. My pictures were edited maliciously to harass and defame me and my family. I urge my well-wishers and followers to stay alert and not believe in rumors.”
