Defence Minister Rajnath Singh Reviews Western Border Security in High-Level Meeting

In the backdrop of evolving regional security dynamics, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Thursday chaired a high-level security review meeting at South Block, New Delhi, focusing on the situation along India's western border and the operational readiness of the Indian Armed Forces.

The meeting was attended by the country’s top military leadership, including Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan, Chief of the Army Staff General Upendra Dwivedi, Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal AP Singh, and Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh.

The high-level discussion centred on assessing the current threat landscape, coordination between the armed forces, and strategic preparedness in light of recent developments along the western frontier.

Officials familiar with the matter stated that the meeting emphasized the importance of maintaining high operational alertness and ensuring synergized defence postures across all three services.

The Defence Minister reiterated the government's commitment to national security and praised the armed forces for their continued vigilance and preparedness to safeguard the nation’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
