Authorities in Delhi are investigating disturbing allegations against 'Swami Chaitanyananda Saraswati', the director of a privately-run management institute in Vasant Kunj, who reportedly sent sleazy messages and preyed on young women under his care.
WhatsApp messages recovered from the phones of 50 women associated with the Sri Sharada Institute of Indian Management have revealed a long history of harassment spanning over 16 years. Victims report receiving lewd texts, being lured with promises of wealth and foreign trips, and facing forced physical contact.
In some instances, the accused allegedly threatened students with poor academic marks to compel compliance, saying things like, “If you don’t obey me, I will fail you.”
Police investigations indicate that 'Swami Chaitanyananda', born Parthasarathy in Odisha, exploited his position for years. He reportedly evaded legal consequences in two prior molestation cases, filed in 2009 and 2016. Alarmingly, the second case was lodged by a woman from the same Vasant Kunj ashram, yet no apparent action was taken by either law enforcement or the ashram authorities.
The revelations have sparked outrage and calls for stricter oversight of private educational and spiritual institutions, highlighting systemic failures in protecting vulnerable women.
