Indian authorities have arrested more than 10 individuals across Haryana, Punjab, and Uttar Pradesh for allegedly spying for Pakistan, following heightened surveillance after the Pahalgam terror attack. At least four arrests were made in Haryana, three in Punjab, and one in Uttar Pradesh.
Following the arrest of travel vlogger Jyoti Malhotra in Hisar on suspicion of espionage, local police warned that enemy nations are increasingly targeting young social media influencers. Hisar Superintendent of Police Shashank Kumar Sawan noted that, lured by easy money, some influencers are being drawn into espionage activities for foreign agencies.
