India's global anti-terror outreach begins — see why 33 nations were selected for delegation visits

India has launched a major global anti-terror outreach following the Pahalgam terror attack and subsequent Indian Armed Forces’ strikes on terrorist launch pads in Pakistan and PoK under Operation Sindoor. Starting Wednesday, seven multi-party delegations will visit 33 strategically chosen countries across nearly every continent, with the aim of presenting India’s position on Pakistan-sponsored terrorism and exposing what it describes as Pakistan’s duplicity on the global stage. These delegations, led by prominent Indian politicians from different parties, will engage with governments, international organizations, and influential blocs to build international consensus against terrorism.

The selection of countries for this outreach is highly strategic. It includes current and upcoming members of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) such as the US, UK, France, Russia, Algeria, Denmark, Greece, Guyana, Panama, South Korea, Sierra Leone, and Slovenia—nations central to shaping global security policies.

India is also targeting regionally influential countries like Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the UAE, Japan, South Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia, and South Africa, which play key roles in organizations such as the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), ASEAN, and the African Union. The outreach further extends to countries with strong economic, diplomatic, or diaspora ties to India, as well as those where Pakistan may attempt to influence the global narrative.

By engaging these 33 countries, India aims not only to highlight Pakistan’s role in supporting terrorism but also to reinforce its own diplomatic posture and foster global cooperation in the fight against terrorism. The delegations will present evidence, share India’s experiences, and urge for coordinated international action, ensuring that the world recognizes the threat posed by cross-border terrorism and supports India’s efforts to counter it.
